So, the color correction went nicely, and it's amazing seeing the film come together. The soundtrack is turning out amazing, and only the sound post-production is needed to be done.

So, the movie is on his way to completion. The soundtrack composer is on it, color correction will be done this week, and I can't really say when the sound post-production will begin. One can only hope for the best.

So, the days of today are dying for tomorrow. Changes will be held on my actual life, specially on my future and remaining adress. I'm returning home, home town. I will try to begin to edit my movie, finishing my internship report, studying for the IELTS test, preparing my future college dossier. So, only work appears on my tomorrow radar. Last weeks I've been saying goodbye to what has been my home for the last 3 years. Many things have happen here.. love relationships, friends, projects brainstorming, music listening and playing, thinking of life in general, etc etcs. Still wonder on what the hell happened in the last 6 months as so many things have changed.. some for the best (me, or so I think), and a lot for the worst (losing family members.. friends who vanished from my life from one day to the other..). Still think of them sometimes though, but I feel there's nothing I can really do about it. Things changes, that's all.. It will be hard to adapt to my new life for the next months but, as always, I'll just have to do it and don't wine about it.

So, the d-day is approaching. I feel kind of lonely preparing this stuff, even if I'm grateful at the same time for the little help and support some people is giving me. Every yes feels like heaven, every no feels like ass-rape, every indifferent answer feels like ass-rape by a cactus.

Too much things pending, unknown uncertainties, strange unwilling of myself of thinking through the storyboard's direction. Is this really worth all the time, money, effort and ass-kissing I've been giving to a lot of people and institutions that in the end will only blame me if it fails?

"Thank god" (just an expression) for some confidence I have in myself and in the work we'll have to do for the things to go out well. Fucking job, I've should have born pretty boy with a tendency for cynism.. I would have been a lot happier 'till now. But no, I have a tendency for confrontations I won't win, with people who won't understand the true nature of my anger, with things I'll never conquer.

ps: most of the people who know me will desagree with all of my sayings in this post but hey.. maybe next time they will.

I've sent GOING BLIND to a lot of festivals, got only one answer yet and it was to say "no thanks". We can't will them all.

The new band is moving along, the drummer has left so we're searching for another one.

February Today.

Last month I found out that most of my earlier intentions on 2007 went balistic. Crap. However, I found new projects to work on.
It is possible that I will join a rock'n'roll band (although I don't really know if they are any good) and that I'll start pre-production on my first independent-produced fiction short-movie, which I'm finishing the script this week and I'm supposed to direct later on.
Hope nothing fails.

I've seen this week (and I'm currently, now, re-seeing it again) the bravo documentary "DiG!". Very coolish.

Long time no post. I have been working too much, 12/14h a day, as an decoration-assistant in a tv series. Not that I want to work as one again, but it felt right when I accepted and it was a nice experience. It kept me going for about 7 weeks. www.mundocatita.com (the site of the tv series).

I've sent my experimental movie to the states, to a chicago festival. They didn't confirmed yet if they'll show it, but they have received it along with the subscription fee (the fuckers..).
Oh well, hope they accept it. I've send to other festivals, but no one has confirmed nothing.

Don't have big plans in 2007. Let's see. I'll try to rehearse some more on my guitars, bass and I will try to enter the piano area.

Prologue:
In the last quarter of 2006, I've beaten a small and justified depression (after some and various types of losses of people that mented a lot to me, and discovering how we all can be fucking twats), I've been able to try to reconnect to my family, transformed myself into a way calmer person, and live a day at a time. I'll work to be a fulfilled person, with some amount of happiness and success, and trying with as much effort to not damage the world and the people around me. If it is not destined to be as so, no problemo. Or "way problemo", but what can a chap do more?

Go, go, go!

Found myself saturday in a pretty darn good concert from the San Francisco band 'Vetiver', after my girl found them on MySpace one week earlier because she liked the cover of their debut album she saw on a store. Development of casuality. Found myself now hearing them everyday, like a rush of well being salvation. Talked to their guitarrist (recent one, as he told me) Sanders Trip (right guy on pic), who seemed like a nice guy. I thought they would be tired of so many concerts just to find they enthusiastic about touring, new places, girls (or so it seemed the Sanders guy). Silly me.

Trip to Hospital. A lot of rooms with connections to each others. Waiting, looking at others, reading my Bukowski book. In a trip outside I saw two young girls unspeakably crying. An older man was with them, maybe their father. I immediatly assume that is their father, is the mother dying/dead? How do you manage something like that, in front of one of the hospital corners, surrounded by dark grey walls with water running low on them. A gipsy kind of boy arrives to the e.r. inside a police patrol car, with his face smashed, probably with punches of some arch-enemy. They pass on front of the waiting line, because they're with the police, although he is one of the waiting line's sick persons with the most probability to survive. No one complains, we all understood he's been punched a lot, and maybe he deserved it. Poor fuck with the black clothes' gipsy mother. I saw another guy who's probably been a fight too. He looks like a traditional pimp, grey poneytail and mustache, all jeans, one earing, rip t-shirt, swollen face. Everybody has a bracelet on them, different colors though. I have the yellow one, medium-serious sickness, respiratory sickness, alergic asma. More folks have the yellow brand, we all wait less to be received by the beautiful white doctors, preferable women. Then there are the so so less serious 'sicks', the green ones. This poor fellows wait longer, although I think we all wait to damn long. No matter, we're all going to see the med's Princess together. Saw one blue bracelet, saw no orange ones - the worst kind since they don't wait for nothing, even to die. Everybody wants to been seen, everybody wants to leave. No one can though, not before the white Princess let's them. We all want to breathe better, to live better, but maybe it was easier for us if we just see that we are lucky to breathe bad than to not breathe at all. Fuck it all, a few more or less days, more or less litter made, air spent, people listened, eyes opened. We better go unwilling to cry, unconscious of consciousness, hand raised to the sky, say goodbye to the clouds and trees, kiss all the women of our life, a toast to the remaining fighters, and catch the last train to Xanadu.

2006. This is my movie version's poster. I did a lot of things in this one. Not going to mention them all, let's just stay this way. I can say however is that I had this poster design thought before the 1st day of shooting. I'm glad with it.

A little plot outline for you:

Ana and David play in a band. They where lovers, but are no more. David ended it, but Ana didn’t, and the band has the first important concert in just a few days. Can they still do it, or when it breaks everything follows?

So, today I'll post the alternative poster. Not better, nor worst, or so I think. Maybe you can be the judge. Or, in other words, who gives a damn..
In the last post I didn't tell the plot of the short film (10 min). I'll say it today for you to discover how lousy it is. At least the film is.

Ahaha, I just discoverd the two plot summaries I had.. the 3 lines version and the 8 lines version.
What a crap :D (I'm not even going to correct the english. Fock it.)

3_lines: David and his father don’t get along, ultimatums are said and David leaves. The time that they’ll be separated, will be the time necessary for them both to understand how much they need each other.

8_lines: David, a 20 years old young adult who didn’t enter the college he wanted (two months ago), and that he has been staying home doing nothing, has enter in collision route with his father, who is seeing his son becoming a social parasite. After a fierce discussion, and despite his mother’s efforts to cool it down, David leaves home. However, behind this masks (of David and his father) of anger and confrontation, hides long forgotten truths that can bring mutual comprehension and reconciliation between them. Can love overcome their wounded pride?

Anyone wants to pay 15$/14€ to see it?

2004. My first production on ESTC, a documentary called REMEMBER ME IN YOUR DREAMS about a crazy old man that every night, in the same street, waves at passings cars. He calls them "my friends"...
